A A Inquiry sent, Al, thanks. May beA in the market for a new
     radiator, as
A A mine is marking its territory a Little more every day. A
     lifetime
A A warranty would be fantastic!

     A A A AA A Hi, gang,
A A A AA A FWIW, I just got thru with a leaky radiator project
     on another
A A A AA A (extensively modified) make vehicle, which came with
     a Ron
     A A A Davis (RD)
     A A A AA A radiator.AAA That RD unit developed some serious
     leaks along
     A A A the top &
A A A AA A bottom ends where the side tanks meet the supporting
     rails; and
     A A A I
A A A AA A thought I'd share this learning experience with the
     group.
     A A A AA A After calling RD's Customer Support seeking repairs,
     I found
     A A A that:
     A A A AA A 1) they can't repair an aluminum radiator once it's
     come in
     A A A contact
A A A AA A with radiator coolant. They claim it contaminates the
     metal,
     A A A making it
A A A AA A impossible to TIG weld successfully.
A A A AA A 2) they will be happy to sell me a new unit .....AAA
     about
     A A A $1000,
     A A A AA A delivered.AAA But, with only their standard 90 day
     limited
     A A A warranty.
A A A AA A Kinda' chintzy policy for such an expensive part,
     when the GM
A A A AA A replacement version is only $150. Are these things
     considered a
     A A A AA A consumable, like brake pads?
     A A A AA A 3) On a recommendation from a trusted source, I
     picked up a
     A A A Mishimoto
A A A AA A radiator for about 40% the cost of a new RD, and it
     has a
     A A A Lifetime
A A A AA A warranty. Everyone who has seen the new part claims
     that the
     A A A AA A workmanship is superior to the RD.A
     A A A AA A 4) But, I checked the [1][2][3]mishimoto.com website,
     they don't
     A A A offer one
A A A AA A for the Pantera (yet).AAA But, I did leave an email
     suggesting
     A A A that they
     A A A AA A market one.
A A A AA A Here's the pitch: Maybe if a few other list members
     would
     A A A contact them
A A A AA A expressing a desire to buy their Pantera version,
     they might be
A A A AA A motivated to start producing them. They make
     radiators for cars
     A A A which
A A A AA A are much lower volume than the Pantera.
A A A AA A Bonus: Mishimoto is a huge company, and their
     customer service
     A A A is
A A A AA A outstanding. The Lifetime warranty sold me.
     A A A AA A Final thought:
A A A AA A The OEM Pantera radiator is a very good part; but,
     some of
     A A A these were
A A A AA A not built correctly. Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)
     #8,
     A A A article 61
A A A AA A describes a correcting modification which can be done
     by a
     A A A competent
     A A A AA A radiator shop.
     A A A AA A FWIW,
