Hi Bob,
Going by Jon's picture it looks like there are 3 washers in there.
2 of them are just thin wafer washers I think.

You just need to space the gear to minimize any float that might exist in
there.
You had problems quite a few years ago with your headlamps.
Were they working ok until your last accident?
While the motor assm is out, move the headlamps up and down and check they
move easily.
Cheers

Hello All,
A A We are trying to finish my car and the last hiccup seems to
be the
A A headlight buckets .
A A They come up and down so obviously the
headlight motor is working.
A A There is a light chattering when they come
up . When I go to close the
A A chattering is almost like choppy and
rough.
A A There is nothing binding or catching the buckets. If I put
slight
A A pressure on the buckets the chattering stops.
A A I pulled the
motor and the motor bracket to investigate. Brass gear is
A A in place and all
looked fine. I pulled the main gear that engages with
A A the sprocket and
cleaned all. Should there be a washer under the
A A c-clamp or the brass
gear?
A A All help would be appreciated as I want these headlights to
move
A A smoothly up and down.
A A Best,
A A Bob Levitt
