[DeTomaso] hood fitment between years?

However, what they're supposed to do is completely unnecessary if you have a 
properly working cooling system.   They may have a slight secondary benefit of 
reducing front-end lift, as the hood experiences fairly pronounced negative 
pressure at high speeds, which is perhaps alleviated somewhat by allowing 
high-pressure air from underneath to flow through it.

Note that if you have an early or late car with fresh air intake from the 
grills ahead of the windshield, your hood vents will now be depositing 
200-degree air right into your air conditioner inlet.   Smooth move....:>)
