I can understand your not liking the mufflers - and, when I want to make a statement, loudly, I have the ones that came on it - which are loud, but look good. NTL, I compared our car, at idle, with another car with a more conventional (as in louder) exhaust system. Ours was 3 dbB quieter. Whilst this doesn't seem like much, dB are an exponential measurement - as I recall, 3 dB translate to roughly 60% quieter. It is significant, and appreciated. Funny thing is, our Pantera, at 70, has the same interior sound level, in dB, as our 2014 Mercedes SLK 250. Which really helps when a deaf old fart like me wants to talk to my wife.

Unfortunately, they also cost a bit more than $100. But, heck, that is life.

Nice car, Stephen. Especially love that motor. One day I'm going to do pretty much the exact same thing to mine. But ahem, somebody has to be the jerk here, (might as well be me) and say that those god-awful
mufflers have got to go! Looks like someone in the past decided to
go to the local Midas shop and told the guy to keep the muffler job
under $100.00. Sorry, but that sweet motor deserves better.
