[DeTomaso] NPC: 4 post car lifts

I have a 8,000lb Direct Lift in my garage (it is ALI certified) and despite being one of the cheaper brands it has performed well. I think the main aspect of any lift is a good safety lock mechanism. The lift is great for increased parking space, although not as easy as a 2 post lift for working on cars, that said I do have the two sliding jacks that I use a lot for both working on cars and storage to take the weight off the suspension. I'd recommend you get them at the time of purchase or find an 'all in' deal that includes them.

I purchased 2 of the low end lifts from Atlas for $1600 ea, 'cut and shut' a section out of them width wise and installed them in a 48ft semi trailer, then proceeded to haul 5 Pantera's to the fun Rally. No issues whatsoever despite the rigors of over the road transportation and vibration etc. and all done for the cost of what one of the specific trailer lifts would cost.
