[DeTomaso] Short shaft water pump?

What is required to use the short shaft pump on a Cleveland and any drawbacks?
Sounds like it is a desirable mod.

After viewing that video, anyone have a recommendation? I don’t race my car or do high performance driving, except when I feel the need. I currently have a Weiand pump. I like the polished look of the Edelbrock.
