I saw the car yesterday and the pictures do not do it justice. It is spectacular, the design has leaped above all other supercars. It is beautifully designed in a new Ford blue metallic with gray carbon fiber accents and wheels, very serious, no colored calipers. The interior was beautiful, very spartan, like a race car. No instruments, just a computer screen on the panel in front of the steering wheel. Everything was black suede.

I asked a Ford Design executive if they were going back into racing at the Designers Night party later, he gave a long "no" answer but their new Mustang sales strategy clearly can use that kind of attention. I think there is no doubt it will be at LeMans. I was told by several people early in the week that the rumor was that they were.

The Ford GT is really a stunner. The other, and probably most dramatic car at the show was a big Buick sedan that was gorgeous with twin turbo V6. Eco something of course. They also showed a small convertible that was beautiful. Lincoln is left in the lurch again but I heard they were introducing a concept today.

The Mercedes future driver car was very poorly done and student like. Porsche had nothing new, Mini has a new Cooper variant.

All the best,
