Considering the prices of all collector cars lately, that price is actually not unreasonable

Apparently this car is for sale elsewhere tagged at $149,900 so looks like a slip of the fingers (or thumbs if uploaded with a mobile device).

This is a later 9000 series factory GT5, admittedly not in the realm of a Ferrari GTO as claimed but I would not be surprised to see the GT5 compared to and similarly priced to tte Lamborghini Countach in future.

Good late series cars are topping $100K currently, whether that is sustainable in a market that may be correcting is still to be seen.

By the "pay for the restoration and get the car for free" rule it is worth at least $85K.

My usual thought with cars like this is "why did a car with that few miles need a restoration?"

Is this something like the 1 in 10 rule?
GT5 is listed on eBay with a $499K but it now price.

Ad says the car may soon be a 20 - 30 million dollar car, like the
   Ferrari GTO
This kind of reminds me of a story I heard back in the 80s when I first
joined the SCCA and starting my education on exotic cars. I remember
some of the members talking about how the 427 cobra owners all decided
to list their cars for sale for an outrageous price many, many times
over the current market value. The effect was that the market value
automatically jumped for their cars, the reason being there were so few
made that they controlled the market.
Don't know if the story is true or not.
