[DeTomaso] Pantera Heater core

The heater core is pinch-clipped to the A/C condenser inside a steel box. So if one gets bigger, the other must get smaller in order to still fit in the box. Why are you thinking about changing? Leaks? Some leaks come from people trying to tighten or loosen the attach fittings without using a wrench on both the fittings, thus cracking the copper line. Once the errant part is out, sometimes depending on where the crack is, the line can be shortened and re-flaired. A lot of work regardless. good luck- J Deryke

If it turns out that I need a new heater core for 72 Pre-L # 3400, any
recommendations as to purchase of same. Any simple up grades while in
   there?
Bud #3400 ( Drive it like there is no tomorrow -- for there may not be
   ! )
