[DeTomaso] Lori's engine exploded!

Is the block machined smooth....Or left rough cast where the # is usually stamped. I would think that an original 71 block would still be of the rough cast style. I don't remember exactly when the made the change in block castings.

It's a 4 bolt '71 closed chamber motor, probably original?  Her car is 1765. 

Didn't the '71 cars have the motor number stamped on the back of the block though?

This one has no number I can see.
