[DeTomaso] Fuse box questtions

My bet is that the data plate is NOT factory and whomever made it may have
installed 15A fuses in place of the 8A because they were running aftermarket
halogen bulbs (i.e. Hella) which draw more current. If this is the case,
they should have installed relays and NOT increased the fuse size. If
you're running regular (non-halogen) head lamp bulbs, 8A fuses should work
fine for the high beam filaments which draw about the same current as the
low beam filaments. High beams double the brightness by powering a second
filament in the bulb. The difference is in the placement of the high beam
filament which hits the reflector so the beam rides higher.

Yeah - the wiring diagram has it at 8 Amp for fuses 1 - 6, yet the plate
calls for 15A in #'s 1 & 2. The high beams run into 1 and 2; Low beams in 5
& 6.
I guess one could question whether the manual is for the right car, or is
the plate off another car? I have a 73 and the manual is for a 73, - makes
me question the plate. Although it does makes sense that more juice (high
beam) would warrant the 15A vs 8A. Humm.
