Leverage increases with a bigger wheel. 13" to 14" is only 9% but its better than nothing. I did this very thing on our '72 for my wife several decades ago. When I increased the caster for better high speed stability, steering effort increased a little, too. Changing to a 14" MOMO wheel for the 13" stocker (which was also ugly) helped her at lower speeds. You could even quantify the reduction in effort with a fish-scale hooked to both wheels. But remember- the slower you go, the more effort you'll expend steering so thats a hint to not go slow! Or you can spend $2000 and add aftermarket power steering....

Years ago while having a beer over at Colin Haney's house, he & I 
compared steering wheels on our Panteras. I had a larger diameter 
steering wheel compared to that in Colin's car. Colin believed that the 
larger diameter steering wheel would require less energy from his arms 
to navigate a race course. He was contemplating switching to the larger 
steering wheel, so that his arms wouldn't tire out as quickly while 
racing... Does anyone know if this would have helped him?

Because I have a push button Pantera with the duel dash pods, Colin also 
thought that the larger steering wheel gave me a somewhat better view of 
the gauges. Has anyone ever compared steering wheel diameter vs ease of 
view of rpm and speedo gauges?
