The larger the circumference the slower the tip speed in ft/sec
 
Okay, you are the second person to contact me, note the wink at the end. My English humor is lost on this crowd, but at least you thought about it!

When I saw an email from Larry I thought we were going to get a whole other definition of what a Timing Pointer is in Cleveland, alas nothing so frivalous. 
 
A mark on the flywheel might not work as it is much bigger so goes around slower in comapriosn to the dampener....... ;)
