That is correct.  Gen. Casey presented me with my Purple Heart one month before he died, July 1970.

This is the only one I have with him in, it adorned his LinkedIn profile.

I recall him mentioning his family tree has some great American military history to it, I believe he was named after his grandfather? Major Hugh Boyd Casey

I had a lot of emails with Hugh and at least one phone conversation.  I never remember him mentioning his immediate family, and have photos of his car, but none of Hugh.  Does anyone have anything?  I got to know him fairly well, but only the car part, and unfortunately his illness.  I'd like to have something to remember him better.

  he has fought do bravely.
