A side question...
Even at its best, would the original e-brake prevent rolling on an incline?
I recall carry around and using a set of chocks

Subject: [DeTomaso] Moving the E-brake handle to the driver's side
As part of my restoration planning, I've been coming up with a short list of
mods that I could have done that "just make sense". Why they located the
e-brake handle on the far side of the console where it's not that easy to
reach has always been a puzzle to me - probably a seat clearance issue.
Don't the later cars, GT5-S, have the brake on the driver's side of the
console?
Since I'm going to have the car down to a bare shell at that point, I can't
think it would be that hard to re-engineer it to the other side with
everything out of the way: some fabrication work and reverse the hardware
under the car. Has anybody done such a mod?
