[DeTomaso] Installing Jack Pads under the Pantera

Yes, this stuff is almost assuredly too thick to be useful in most areas. 

I used black delrin material, and I think it's 1/2 inch thick but i can't remember for sure. I know I measured the depth of the cavity and then got material of the appropriate thickness so that it barely protruded below the lip of the chassis rail. I got mine from Larry Stock of Pantera Parts Connection. His primary business is plastics so he has all sorts of scraps lying around. I just told him what I needed and he gave it to me. 

If you are proposing putting some in the front corners of the floor pan chassis pieces, it will consume valuable clearance that might make it difficult to get a jack under, so in those areas the material should be as thin as possible. 1/4 or even 1/8 inch might be best. 

If you come up with a viable plan, Larry might even produce what you want exactly, then offer it as a kit for others?  Give him a call....
