[DeTomaso] Anyone have offset numbers for 8 inch front and 10 inch rear wheels?

Ken,

As Mike wrote, ET is the German abrevation for offset. The fronts are spot on with the original wheels so if you put 225 tires on with the appropriate height you should have the same problems as stock. The rears are more inward oriented than stock, ET 12 vs ET -5, which I assume is to allow for a wider tire than stock to fit under the fender lip.

  Thanks Tomas,

There are a set of Coddington "Pantera wheels" on ebay right now:

  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Boyd-Coddington-Super-10-Spoke-Wheel-for-DeTomaso-Pantera-staggered-17x8-11-/181840688325

  with this description:

"For sale is a set of four authentic Bill Coddington designed Super 10 Spoke wheels. The front wheels measure 17x8 (et 19, or a 5.25" backspacing) and the rears measure 17x11 (et 12, or a 6.5" backspacing) and have a 5x114.3 (or 5x4.5) bolt pattern."

If I have this right, the front wheels are 46mm inward versus your 19mm (about an inch difference). That seems substantial, and could cause clearance issues? What do you think? I'm not sure what the "et 19" in the description means.

  Ken,

  Ken,

19 mm inwards on the front wheels, 5 mm outwards on the rears is what I have noted.

Been looking at aftermarket wheels, and need the offset (not the backspacing) to see if anything fits. I know backspacing numbers have been posted and I think offset is backspacing - width/2, but people seem to measure the backspacing differently.
        Thanks,
        Ken
