[DeTomaso] Oil Spray from valve cover breathers

I can remember in the mid 70s, people saying Clevelands pumped way too much oil through the pushrods into the heads and the oil did not drain fast enough.  I don't know how real that was.  I assume that was with hydraulic lifters without oil flow restrictors?

I use these Petersen risers in which I installed baffles.  I had aluminum nuts welded to the covers for installing the risers.  The added heights gets them up above the oil pool.  I've tested them by placing a moisture separator in the line between the riser and the carb.  Very effective.

No PCV valve in this system. Even if I did put one on I would still be
sucking up a lot of oil without any baffles. It could, however, be
that the rings aren't seated yet since I only have about 150 miles on
it. I was hoping to find a way to baffle the breathers.

Do you have a PVC valve? I recall that PVC helps reduce or eliminate
pressure inside the engine, and if it's removed or blocked, you can get
   oil spray from breathers.

Hi Guys, does anyone have any ideas how to stop my engine from
   blowing
oil out of the breathers on the valve covers. The engine was just
rebuilt and now has aluminum valve covers without any baffles by the
openings for the breathers. I'm getting a spray of oil out of the
breathers and sometimes they actual come off when i push it hard.
These are the twist-on type of breathers,
