You're right!  I forgot about that!  
I had to grind a little clearance on the underside of the upper shock mount (on the car) so the shock body had plenty of room to move throughout the suspension range without contacting the mount with the top of the shock body.

I have the 450/550 spring-rate Konis and am extremely happy with them. Still a very comfortable ride, similar to stock springs, but without the bounce and lunging up or down on acceleration or braking.  I purchased from Pantera East.  No modifications needed to install, just bolt in.
