Dear Lashdeep,

That link and those tyres certainly change the game.
I will advise my friend that there may be a third path. Thanks for the
"Tyre Tip"!

                                       Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Chuck, probably 1/2 of a week :

It is a good time to be a widebody Pantera owner...finally we can get tires.

Best of luck!

Dear Lashdeep,

The main issue is tire availability.

               I assume that you have a GT5S.

Today, if you needed a full set of fresh fifteen inch tires
for the original wheels, then 1) could you have them in a week? In those
tire sizes, I expect that speed rating would not be an issue. 2) What would
be the market price of the tires?

                                    Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Chuck, preserving the originals is a great idea and one I've thought of

The Basset sounds like a perfect modern solution and retains some of the
desirable factory look.

Dear Arjun,

The idea is to put the very expensive original

wheels safely up in storage and drive and abuse more expendable

seventeen inch repro wheels.

                                       Warmest regards, Chuck Engles
