IMHO, it also also the duplicity aspect of two tires ( in the event of a
flat or delamination ) in addition to more weight distribution that makes a
dually desirable,
having said that, I am seeing more and more semi tractors ( not the
trailers ) running singles on each axle, they are big mamy jamys too.
