[DeTomaso] clutch master cylinder-help

Folks,
Ok disengaged original pivot arm off original clutch master cylinder from top of car.   I notice new Master has a spring on its pivot arm under rubber boot pushing metal washer forward and the original has no spring.    I installed new master onto old pivot arm with supplied new snap ring.
Questions===
1-Having no spring under washer under  boot on original pivot will be an issue?   (original had no spring)  new one has spring.
2-Top mounting bolt on clutch master fell inside car.   How the heck do you fish this bolt back up through hole?   Rubber boot and pivot arm is in way.

BTW- --(i'll never do this job again.  It beat me up and I only hope it fixes problem or their will be a torched Pantera for sale!!!  :)
