[DeTomaso] charging problems

I'll get back to work on it in the morning. Yes I have volt and amp meters.

Do you mean volt meter or amp meter?  I don't have one in front of me, but I thought all the current to and from the battery goes through the amp meter (except starter current?) so do you see the meter move towards negative if you turn on the head lights to show a discharge?

   My system won't charge. Had alternator tested twice and it's ok. 2 New
  
 regulators same results.
   When everything is hooked up the charging light is on. With the
   regulator not mounted the charging light is off. Voltage meter never
   moves.
   Looking for help.
