All,
While Mangusta values have gone stupid-silly recently, it also appears that Pantera auction values are rising.
With this in mind, today I checked in with my State Farm agent to see about my policy, confirm the current insurance is still classified as being a stated versus agreed value policy, and see what was needed to increase level of coverage.
After checking with their underwriter, I was informed there was no need for an updated appraisal (had one done about 12 years ago), that coverage was indeed still an agreed value policy, and they would have no trouble increasing the agreed value to $80K, $90K or even $100K for a 'perfect' example.
I opted to increase coverage to $80K for an annual increase of $66.02. I still intend to get a new appraisal just to CMA should tragedy strike only to be followed by a PITA claims adjuster. Annual premiums now total $367.38.
But it seems the insurers are aware of the climbing values and at least in my case, easy to work with.
Just thought I'd share.
