[DeTomaso] Headlights don't go up, take II

If the trim ring comes off its clips, maybe it could cause this problem?
You may benefit from removing the front wheels and splash shields. You
should be able to reach around the bucket and take a photo of what's
undeneath the fender in front of the bucket.

The plot thickens, but thanks Will for pointing that out - you are dead
on.

When I try to lift the headlights by hand, they raise freely the same
1/2"
and then they and totally blocked against something and won't go up any
further. I don't want to pull too hard and bend something, but I think
we're
getting closer - the buckets are jammed and will only raise a little
bit.
I'll keep investigating - I wonder what may have happened?

I would also check that the headlights raise by hand without
obstructions.

With the motor assembly removed, you should be able to lift them by
hand.
The only resistance should be gravity.

I¹m sure you¹ll find it, though. If it is skipping, it shouldn¹t be too
hard to find the source.
