Hello Everyone,

I'm attending SEMA this year and looking for a fellow Pantera person to tag
along with. Any
one else going? I fly in Monday and leave Saturday.

A little more to the story. My wife works for Advance Auto parts and will
be working at
the show...did this two years ago but by day three got pretty lonely seeing
all this stuff
with out someone else to hang with..

I concur with Rick about a single application of No Touch being a
     good
choice and rate it as the second best tire treatment I've used.
My two sons and I on our 5 cars have tried at least 8 such products
     over
the years.A Our fist choice though is Griots as it makes the tire
     look
even more like it's new rather than surface treated.
But with all these products, I have no idea if they add to or
     subtract
from the longevity of the sidewall.A I just know that I like the
     looks
of the tire after the Griots treatment - especially for car shows.

I'm looking at my ZF and I'm seeing two M10x1.5 studs, nuts and
     washers
securing my two lower ZF to Bellhousing holes.A I'm hoping this
     forum can
refresh my memory because the nuts are 17mm hex nuts that were
     custom ground
down to a 6mm thin-pattern thickness (by yours truly) to provide
     maximum
clearance for my 10.5" Centerforce clutch.A There are no withness
     marks on
the clutch housing so obviously these fasteners are not getting in
     the way.
Is my memory correct that DeTomaso never installed fasteners in
     these holes?
I belive I added them years ago for added strength.A What have
     others seen
     in their bellhousings?

     Doug,
As I recall, DeTomaso -did- have bolts there.A But as I also
     recall,
several people on this forum in the early days advocated that you
     leave
those two -out- to facilitate removal of the transmission without
     the
bellhousing.A It's very possible (?) that yours were missing when
     you
acquired it.A But there -should- be something there to secure it
     all.

I believe those were OEM 10x40 bolts not studs. Mine had none when I
had my ZF out the first time. I believe I ordered 2 in March of 2010
     from Dennis @ 1.65 each.
Three nuts may hold a wheel on the car,.........but I prefer to use
5 as designed. JMHO?Bud #3400 ( Drive it like there is no tomorrow

A Subject: [DeTomaso] Lower bellhousing to ZF bolts/studs ?????
I'm looking at my ZF and I'm seeing two M10x1.5 studs, nuts and
     washers
securing my two lower ZF to Bellhousing holes.? I'm hoping this
     forum can
refresh my memory because the nuts are 17mm hex nuts that were
     custom ground
down to a 6mm thin-pattern thickness (by yours truly) to provide
     maximum
clearance for my 10.5" Centerforce clutch.? There are no withness
     marks on
the clutch housing so obviously these fasteners are not getting in
     the way.
Is my memory correct that DeTomaso never installed fasteners in
     these holes?
I belive I added them years ago for added strength.? What have
     others seen
     in their bellhousings?

I think gasoline is a mix of Ocatane, Pentane and Hexane?A In the
     graph it
just lists Octane in Gasoline but I know there's a lot of stuff in
     the
cocktail. I can't remember all those reagents.

I removed those two lower bolts the first time I had the ZF out,
based on forum advice from others.
I have never noticed any bellhousing movement or issues in the 12 or
so years since I left them out.
     YMMV
