Why can't we be both enthusiasts and collectors?

Also,  the jury is out on the *need* for any modifications. 

If anything, a lot of the mods done in prior decades are now obsolete...

    detached from
    A  A this group. I think it is a different group looking at the cars

    A  A investment, not making them better and fun to drive. I think
    the
    A  A purists are in for the long haul to make money and add to their
