[DeTomaso] Two-headlight Mangusta at Bonham's next month

The Mangusta is finally gaining attention even with the rough one selling in California recently. 
Here are a few that you may have seen before.

**1**This one, lot # 319, sold at Silverstone Auction Nov, 14.

Chassis Number: 8MA820
Year of Manufacture: 1969
Estimate (£): 180,000 - 200,000
Sold for (£): 180,000 == $280,000.+ -

**2**Lot #3149 sold at Auction America, Aug 2, 2014.
Sold for $214,500.

	The Mangusta being offered is one of the only 150 examples built for the European market. It has been with one Southern Californian since 1985 who purchased the vehicle in Germany. At the time of purchase, the car was white, but it was found that the car was originally blue. Soon after the discovery, the vehicle was repainted in its factory original color of Blue Metallic. After 45 years, this car still remains extremely original. Even the tires are reportedly original to the car. This example has a Ford 289 V-8 engine that only has about 100 miles on the freshly rebuilt unit and is ready for many more years of enjoyment.

**3**Chassis # 936-USA, fly yellow, three year restoration with 25,108 miles is advertised on a full page ad, page 109 of the digital Jan 2015 Sports Car Market.
Asking $349,000. which seems market correct.

Bonhams updated their site to show the price paid including the premium.
Sold for £203,100 (US$ 331,959) (244,870 Euros) inc. premium.
I believe this is a world record for a De Tomaso Mangusta at a public sale.
