[DeTomaso] Metric Bolt size Question

I have an AP Racing pedal assembly that specifies 0.31"UNFx0.75" mounting bolts.  I think they are metric, but this doesn't make much sense to me?  An M7 bolt seems like a loose fit.  Anyone know what this is?
