I agree with Forest…you have a stuck relay.

If you were to disconnect the fan for your trip, DO NOT turn on your A/C.  If the compressor were to become energized (turned on), pressure will build in the A/C system due to no air flow over the condenser, and an A/C hose will probably rupture.  Even if there is a high pressure switch in the system, the system will continually cycle and eventually damage something.
