This just came from the H1 Hummer list that I also participate on.  Is
this our Detomaso problem?

There have been some very extensive bounce messages resulting when AOL
users post to the mailing list recently.  The posts are not being
delivered to other AOL addresses as well as Yahoo, Gmail, Comcast and
many other providers.  That's most of the mailing list.

These posts may or may not post to the forum.  A few do, others do not.

Upon further investigation, it appears AOL had a policy change in late
April to reject mail sent FROM AOL addresses when sent from any server
other that an AOL server.  That means the mailing list!  This explains
all the bounces.

Here are the details on this new AOL policy:

o-reject/

Notice that it specifically mentions mailing lists.

There is nothing the Hummer Network can do about this.  AOL has never
been mailing list friendly, and it is now much less so.

This means AOL USERS CAN NO LONGER POST VIA THE MAILING LIST!

AOL users should post directly to the forum:

http://www.hummernetworkforums.com/

in which case the post will go out over the mailing list OK.  If you can
post via a non-AOL address, that should work as well.  Anything sent to
the mailing list from an AOL address will be rejected by most of the
internet.

Sorry about this, but it's AOL.  It's been a PITA for the mailing list
for 18 years and this takes the cake!
