Thanks Chuck, some great shots there.

The very last image of the inboard mounted Willwood brakes.  I know the
issue has been debated in the past, and it's an interesting concept, but a
number of questions come immediately to mind: wouldn't that interfere with
the shift linkage ?  Wouldn't there be a significant risk of heat exchange
from the brakes to the ZF?  How would you cool those brakes inside the
engine bay?  Seems a much greater risk there than the marginal benefit of
reducing unsprung weight.

There are "Nooks 'n Crannys" (Like a good English muffin) in the ZF where
oil may not quickly drain from, that could account for 1/2 liter.

How long did you let it drain?

(The shown piece is actually on top in the Pantera orientation, so has no
effect on drainage.)

No, I'm not saying that. Maybe I should be more clear. 

I drained the ZF.
I put the plug back in. 
I filled the ZF with new oil
I poured the old oil in the new oil bottles, and found that I only filled
2,5 bottles, indicating that I only had 2,5 liters of oil in there before
