>>>Johnny Woods went and inspected this car for a prospective buyer, and
while he found it to be extremely structurally sound, it did have a whole list
of deviations from originality (originality is key for a Mangusta) as well
as mechanical problems (oil pouring out the front of the freshly rebuilt
engine for starters). He and the buyer concluded that it would be a fairly
involved and expensive process to fix the problems and round up all the
missing parts needed to restore it to 100% originality. So the prospective buyer
kept his bids low and got blown out of the water almost immediately, as
others who had not done their due diligence (or, just as likely, who didn't
care about the nitty-gritty details) bid this car to the moon.

It's odd that Mangustas in Europe seem to have so much more following than
in the USA (like original Panteras). This was probably a $150-175K car in
the USA, yet it's demonstrated to be over $330K in Europe!

The lesson here is, if you are a Mangusta seller in the USA, the first
thing you should buy is a one-way boat ride for your car!
