[DeTomaso] Tires

That may be, but there are no new tires for the rear available.  I do have a
"brand new" set of rears that have been stored with no light and a/c for
about 6 years, but that's all she wrote.

I think the reason that one failed is because that tire went flat while I
was on the hi-way doing 80 mph.  Got the flat fixed and wondered if the tire
truly survived‹it did not.

If the Euro T/As are old enough to fail like that the rubber has probably
hardened to the point where putting new tires on the front will make the car
oversteer pretty badly.
 
Whatever type you choose you should probably plan on discovering the car is
scary to drive with just new fronts and new rears will follow shortly
