purchased from Hal so it is probably right. and it is also similar to the one that was there from before. it also made sound after I took out the gearbox and put it in again. the sound was not there before the gearbox was removed.

John. good eyes you have :) but it is the image that lie. what you see is an original edge. But take a look at this picture. disregard marks around the bolt. see the top edge. what could it be that touches the paint? Centerforce usually has a spacer behind the throwout bearing.  If the spacer isn’t used, it might be possible for the throwout fork to contact the pressure plate. In your video, it sounds like the engine slows down when the clutch pedal is depressed. There appear to be some marks on your old pressure plate, as indicated by
the arrows on the attached pic.
