[DeTomaso] replacement seats

I've done many track days and it works just fine. I've done many upgrade to make it safe. Big brakes, Koni shocks , road racings tires and a harness make it a blast to drive, but I know I'm driving a 40 year old sports car.

No with good seats and multi point harnesses, Brembo brakes, koni shocks, Modified a-arms, cv joints and numerous other upgrades designed to make a 40 year old + car safer and handle better with out altering the essence of what makes it a Pantera I don't need air bags. If you prefer your 1970's seats and you plan on doing any track or performance driving just make sure your life insurance is paid up to date other wise bring it to your car shows on your trailer.

Well mark I guess that why baskin Robbinns makes all those different
fllavors. Different people like different things. I already have
Recarostyle seats in my car ( they are just not brand name or
FIA sanctioned. I have six point harnesses and a stock Pantera seat isn't
effective at maintaining the six point harness in the proper position . In
the event of an accident it is extremely important (IMHO) to have a
properly positioned submarine belt and in order for it to be placed in the
correct position you must have have an anchor point that goes through the
seat ( not wrapped forward around the front of the seat. Improper
positioning of multi point harnesses (5 or 6) can result in serious injury
or death. So despite your preference for the aesthetic appeal of the stock
seat if you plan on doing more with your Pantera then car shows then it is
essential that you optimize your car to provide the maximum in safety .
Aside from the safety issues I happen to like (in fact prefer the look of a
recaro style seat). If I wanted a Pantera solely for a car collection I
would have kept it stock. Now I want seats that not only provide a more
stable driving position (like a Recaro style seat) but one that is
also FIAapproved ( like an authentic
Recaro, Corbeau or Sparco) and is built to a higher quality standard.
