Some small towns are dying but not all. I recently went back to work for a small town Ford dealership...it's getting ready for a million dollar renovation and they just signed up for a dodge franchise. It ain't over till it's over folks

Personally, I can agree with most of the article; however, I also
believe it's been the social conditioning these younger people have been
bombarded with. Things such as:
- city living is better (who needs a car in the city?)
- cars are gross polluters, contributing to dirty air
- you don't need the same freedoms your parents had
- liberty is a state of mind and only exists on facebook

Actually, I've read similar articles over the last two years.
Unfortunately most of them are focused on inner city kids, not so much
the rural demographic where kids still need to get a license early and
be able to drive the farm equipment to different fields. The inner city
kids prefer the bus, or taxis or to just plain walk.

There are virtually no garages to park you car (I knew a girl once in
San Francisco who had to park her car up to 10 blocks away from her
apartment; if it weren't for the fact she worked 45 miles out of the
city, she wouldn't have owned a car. She tried living closer to work
but it drove her crazy not being in the thick of the city. City living
isn't very conducive to owning a car.

Small towns are dying and with them goes the small town local car dealer.

Welcome to the age of being a dinosaur.
