I'm with the BJ endorsed program, it is underwritten by AIG now that TDS got acquired by AIG. It is by far the cheapest option I have found and I have 5 cars with them, before that I was with American Collectors and halved my insurance bill with the switch.

BJ Insurance is a re-seller of American Modern Home Insurance (Heacock Classic is one of their re-sellers too).
When it comes to insuring classic cars, there aren't not too many options for fixed value insurance coverage. Most regular insurance companies (StateFarm, Nationwide, GEICO etc.) will do fixed value coverage up to $150K, but when you go above that it's slim pickings - the only choices I have found are American Modern, Chubb (if you bundle with a >$1M home insurance policy), and Hagerty. I have 4 cars insured through American Modern and luckily haven't had the need to actually use the coverage.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I already had the Haggerty guide ( it is
a handy tool for research on which cars are going up in value and which
are declining) My insurance company (American Modern Home) is a
subsideary of GEICO and they have been a pain in the ass since day one.
I have never had a claim (except one for road service) and that whole
expierience was a fiasco. I am seriously considering changing my
insurance company. BJ sounds good (it has a nice ring to it!) LOL.

I have Barrett-Jackson insurance and when it came time to renew I decided to up
my agreed upon value. When I told my agent what I wanted to increase value to
$60K she looked it up in some kind of classic car price guide and said it showed
the value to be $72K. I can't remember what the name of the price guide was (m
aybe Hemmings). So one of your sources would be such a guide. I suspect the g
uide would not reflect the cost of upgrades you made though.

Greetings,
I am in the process of renewing my Pantera's insurance and I want to
increase the insured value. Besides the thousands I have spent on new
suspension , brembo brakes, cv loints updated ac etc. I told the
insurance company that the market value of Panteras has increased over
the years I have owned my car ( since 2008). Does anyone have anything
that would support the current values of Panteras in the market place
or any suggestions as to a source for this info. They suggested recent
sales records.I know some of you follow this and I have seen allot of
the Panteras sold on E-bay for higher prices but once they are sold I
believe the ebay info is no longer accessible. So any help with this
would be greatly appreciated.
