That's funny, I never thought about that.
I prefer having everything in the most recent reply. I normally skip over
everything except for the most recent reply, so it irritates me when
people delete the previous content.
As I read e-mail, I delete it. Sometimes people reply from a 3-4 day old
thread, and I have to dig through my trash to figure out what was said
previously.
I never thought about how it would make the digest harder to read.
Plus business e-mail doesn't use a digest, and most people I've worked
with prefer to keep everything in the most recent reply. It makes it
easier to follow the thought process, if you keep it intact. That's why I
never delete the previous content.
