Mike,
As long as you use a proper coolant mix with distilled water from day one (
since you have that opportunity ),
why do you think you need one? Most all of the crud in a cooling system is
either rust from an unprotected engine
that has sat around or more often, comprised of water treatment additives
like lime, etc. from tap water.
I guess it couldn't hurt unless it became clogged, but if your block/system
is in that bad shape, maybe clogging this filter
should be the least of your worries.
I've had outstanding results with 1/3 100% PEAK antifreeze, 2/3 distilled
water and a bottle of water wetter.
If you do decide to install one, take lots of photos.

installing a
Tefba coolant filter to protect the radiator from debris in the
system. Seems like a good idea and I've read that some other
Pantera
owners have employed these and other filters. Just wanted to
check in
on any of the latest recommendations with these filters and the
best
location to install them in our cooling system. Thanks! Mike
