I can understand the connection. Hard work, determination, discipline and team work.
Of course all that takes a second seat when the first shot is fired.
I guess it comes down to will.

Iknow that changing tires has no relationship to warfare the enigma to me was that
The Italians were always held up as an example of the worst military in WWII ( besides the French ) it just seems strange to me that they could be among the worlds best at something's and among the worlds absolute worst at something else. I think it's unusual to find such a wide margin in one society. Usually a people that have the determination and discipline to become among the best in the world in any field that involves technology ,precision,hard work and endurance not to mention nerves and pride would also be among the worst in an endeavor that would presumably benefit from some of the same skills. Just an abstract thought . Although it's not related to racing or cars they also were at the top of the heap militarily during the Roman Empire . Same people essentially . What a difference 500 years make. ( I know the Roman Empire was far past it's peak 500 years ago but that's when the Eastern Roman Empire fell.)

It's hard for me to understand why the Italians did so poorly as a military
force in WWII when I see the levels of perfection in their automobiles and
the performance of this pit crew. I didn't blink and I still missed what
was really being done . I saw the before and the after but it was difficult
to actually observe the "during" it was so fast it's mind boggling.
