Or just an outright lie?  Maybe someone can explain how the Amerisport VIN is MORE of a made up number than Hank's [1] third customer car? or a Detomaso VIN?

It just seems that all VINs are started at some arbitrary point, including the secret handshake codes, and continued for various reasons, including to "register the car in the USA."

OK, ladies, back to the regularly scheduled program . . . . .
