Sigh,

Bill Hohnhorst and Alan Foster basically stole a factory Gr4 race car that
they found in the local Autotrader magazine (!). It had been sitting in a
garage in San Diego since 1979. They traded straight across for a very
nice white L-model.

A few years later, they decided to sell it. I could probably have picked
it up for $55K, but I lacked three things:

1) Space to keep it
2) Truck/trailer to pull it
3) $55K

So instead they traded it straight across for a stupid 4.6L Mustang race
car! Just a couple of years later, the owner sold it to Patrick Hals for
$200K. A few years later, Patrick sold it for something north of double that
much, and it continues to appreciate....

Sigh....
