He did tell me that he's not really into car club events where people just 
'sit around and eat rubber chicken'.   I think he'd be more interested in an 
event where the cars are actively driven.   Maybe next year we could entice 
him for a day at least, to take part in a mountains-to-desert drive or 
something like that?
