Your absolutely correct! I was working from a diminishing memory of a youth
spent watching the Three stooges on TV after school. A quick on Google
turned up the correct Law Firm of Dewey Cheatem and Howe. I'm mortified!

A law firm, founded on April 1, 1887 in London, England. The first
partners were by Howie Dewey, Icabod Cheatham, and Rebecca Howe, who
met while attending The City Law School, which they subsequently sued
for their poor grades, low graduation rankings and inability to pass
the bar.

If I remember correctly, it was "Who" on first, "What" on second, and
"I don't know" on third.
