One number ZF publicizes is a 30% loss between flywheel and tires. Please remember horsepower is only a number. Its the driving experience that makes Pantera people smile.

Subject: [DeTomaso] horse power question

How much horse power is typically lost between the flywheel and be at
the A the rear wheels ( on a Pantera)? As an example if a Pantera had
an engine that was rated at 500 HP at the flywheel how much horsepower
   would there be at TRW?
   Boyd
