FYI
Mark Charlton has 2 different types of 17" after market wheels.
He also has 4 DeTomaso Cars (Check his avatar on the other forum).
I think he may want the Concours look for one of his cars.

While it can take a bit of searching, there are still plenty of 15 inch tires available. BFG in particular makes the Radial T/A in 225 and 295/50. They are only S speed rated but that's unlikely to be an issue in the USA. They are leagues better than anything available when the cars were new.
So, if you want to change to aftermarket wheels, do so because you want to, not because you are placing some sort of undue pressure on yourself.
