[DeTomaso] Dual Remote oil filters

In my application, in a series, pressure remains the same, just another
pass through more filter material to catch anything that made it through
the first one, and just because IMHO it looks neat. Detractors will rightly
point out that duplication of connections increases opportunities for
leaks, the expense of an oil change is greater, and while I would love to
point out that aircraft and spacecraft have duplicates built in, in this
case, one is not an alternate for the other since they share everything (
unless you count a filter element failure). One might justify a longer
interval between oil changes, but in my case that would be silly since I
average like once a year anyway ( 2,000 miles and 10 quarts of oil, most of
it comes out looking brand new).

Has anyone mounted dual remote oil filters upside down over the
bellhousing before? A I'm thinking about it. The idea of two big Orange
FL-1 and some more AN fittings and more aeroquip hose....hmmmmm tasty
looking. A I already have an oil cooler I would have to incorporate
   after filtering.
