[DeTomaso] Dual Remote oil filters

Forgive my ignorance, but why two? Parallel or in series? In either case, what does this do to the pressure in the engine? All consequences understood?

Has anyone mounted dual remote oil filters upside down over the bellhousing before?  I'm thinking about it. The idea of two big Orange FL-1 and some more AN fittings and more aeroquip hose....hmmmmm tasty looking.  I already have an oil cooler I would have to incorporate after filtering.
