Makes me getting my last MGB from Allstate Insurance rather boarding. It
sure was fun getting it home that day :-)

You might appreciate that I drove my MGB "off the boat" in 1965 - my first
car. 

 

As long as we are off topic, my parents drove their MGB "on the boat"! They
bought a new MGB in 1966 and picked it up from the factory in England, drove
it around France for their honeymoon and had it shipped back to the US. It
was their only car for many many years, and they used it to bring me home
from the hospital after being born in December, 1968 in Syracuse, NY. Not
exactly a climate made for MGB's (or much else!) and it eventually rusted to
shreds.
